What to do you do on your last night in Ibiza? Right, you make sure it’s one to remember. We start our evening at Can Domingo Restaurant Ibiza, a typical Italian restaurant that’s run by three Italian friends.
The restaurant is a bit hard to find/reach. It’s not located in a town or something. It’s actually located in the middle of nowhere. Now, that doesn’t have to mean anything, it was just maybe not what we’d expected…
Once we drive up to the restaurant we discover the beauty of nothingness. We discover that this might be the perfect place for a restaurant. The views surrounding the building are amazing. Typical Ibiza valleys all over the place. Because our visit is a bit early in the season (May), the restaurant doesn’t really focus on eating outside. But, inside is also good according to the pictures on the internet.
We’re welcomed and seated by one of the owners. He’s really enthusiastic and explains how everything works. That takes about 30 minutes but it’s never bothering us. The guy is super passionate about what they do. It seems like every dish has a history and he wants to tell us all about it. We’re saving you the exact details, but what is basically comes down to is that almost every ingredient is picked with a lot of care and comes from Italy. Can Domingo manages to keep prizes normal though they need to import a lot of their ingredients (they do grow their own in the back yard).
We start dinner with some typical Italian bread with some olive oil, salt and pepper. Just the way we like it. After this the risotto comes in, some tuna carpaccio, octopus, cod fish with raw scrimps and the dessert had something to do with strawberries (we’re not really sure). We usually don’t order dessert because most of the time it’s a huge let down. This time it’s not. It’s awesome. Take a look at our pictures to see the beauty of the dishes we had.
We had a blast at Can Domingo. The food was great, the service was awesome en the views unforgettable. This is one of those places you’ll not easily forget, which is a good thing, right?
